Dudley Newman Feuerzeig LLP is a general civil practice law firm whose members have diverse backgrounds and are drawn from various regions of the United States.
The firm is a merger of two law firms, Dudley, Topper and Feuerzeig, LLP, based on St. Thomas, which was the largest firm in the U.S. Virgin Islands and the former Member of Lex Mundi, with Nichols Newman Logan Grey Lockwood, P.C., the leading law firm based on St. Croix.
The firm is divided primarily into two practice groups – transactional law and litigation. Lawyers within the firm’s transactional law group concentrate in specific areas of commercial law, which include banking and finance, corporate planning and management, estate planning, labor and employment law for management, real estate development and management and taxation. Lawyers within the firm’s litigation group concentrate in specific areas of commercial litigation primarily associated with the firm’s bank and business clients, plus admiralty, bankruptcy, commercial and contract disputes, environmental law, labor and employment litigation, personal injury insurance defense litigation and other specialized areas of litigation in which the firm has expertise.
By virtue of each lawyer’s concentration in a specific area, the firm’s clients benefit by having any given matter handled by a lawyer with a higher level of experience than is customarily found in the typical firm of general practitioners.
The firm’s primary clients include banks, institutional organizations, insurance companies, local branches or subsidiaries of national and international corporations, real estate developers and medium-sized businesses engaged in a variety of retail, commercial, light industrial or service endeavors.
The firm’s practice extends throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands and its clients present the firm with a wide range of professional challenges – offering the firm’s lawyers a varied and rewarding practice within their areas of concentration.
